The first job
I ever did as Staat Tuckpointing was an old building called the Saum
Hotel. It originally opened in 1926, at the corner of Shaw
Avenue and Grand Boulevard; but what I'm proudest of whenever I get
by there is how well it's held up. Obviously it was built well
to begin with. you can see it in the details and
craftsmanship. But, the concept of quality is also present,
and I guess i secretly take credit for some of that lasting quality,
having worked on the building myself.
That was
nearly 25 years ago; time sure has flown since then. Our
company has grown to a small army of craftsmen and specialists
hand-picked for their own approaches to doing a quality job.
Along the way, both of my sons have joined the company, and I am
happy to say that the I am happy to say that the work the whole team
does continues to exhibit the kind of quality we strive to achieve
everyday on every job.
There's really
no other reason to do a job in the business we're in unless it
begins and ends with quality. Staat was started with this idea
in mind, and it's at the center of every job we do today.
