THE
IMPORTANCE OF TUCKPOINTING
Over time, the mortar in brick
joints naturally cracks and deteriorates leaving mortar joints weakened and
open. This not only detracts from the aesthetics of your building but it
detracts from the structural integrity of it as well. James G. Staat Tuckpointing Inc. takes great care in
repairing your building when tuckpointing repairs are needed. We follow
all the necessary procedures, cutting no corners, bringing you the highest
quality of work; grinding all joints to a 1/2" depth, rinsing them of excess
dust, reinstalling mortar of the appropriate type and color, tooling the mortar
to give it the perfect appearance, and finally chemically cleaning the tuckpointing
with the appropriate product to give it a fresh, bright appearance.
